By participating in Pedal for Pride 2026, I acknowledge that long-distance cycling is physically demanding and includes risks such as falls, vehicle interactions, weather exposure, equipment failure, road hazards, illness, and other unforeseeable events that could result in injury, property loss, or death.
I confirm that I am voluntarily participating, I am responsible for my own physical readiness, and I will ride within my limits. I understand this is a mostly self-supported ride, and while limited support may be present, I am responsible for hydration, fueling, bike readiness, and day-to-day personal decisions on the road.
I agree to follow applicable traffic laws, ride respectfully within the group, and communicate honestly if I need to stop, adjust pace, or step off route. I agree not to hold ride organizers, volunteers, sponsors, community partners, or other participants liable for ordinary negligence connected to participation in this event.
I authorize basic first-aid support and emergency contact notification if an incident occurs and I am unable to communicate. I also grant permission for event photos/videos to be used for ride communications and fundraising storytelling unless I request otherwise in writing.
I have read this waiver fully, understand its contents, and agree to participate under these terms.
This ride is proudly queer-centered, trans-affirming, anti-racist, and community-first. We are building the kind of world we want to live in: one where everyone is respected, protected, and able to show up as their full self.
We expect riders to use inclusive language, respect pronouns and identities, and avoid behavior that is sexist, racist, transphobic, homophobic, ableist, fatphobic, or otherwise demeaning. Jokes or comments that target marginalized people are not acceptable.
Consent and boundaries matter on and off the bike. Ask before touching people or gear, listen when someone sets a boundary, and respond with care. Conflict happens; accountability and repair are part of this ride culture.
We ride as a team: communicate clearly, support each other, and prioritize safety and dignity over ego. Everyone contributes to making this space welcoming, joyful, and brave.
By participating, I agree to uphold these expectations and help protect a ride environment rooted in equity, belonging, and collective care.
Our team is working toward a collective fundraising goal of $15,000 for Affirmations LGBTQ+ Community Center. There are no individual fundraising minimums, but every participant is expected to actively fundraise toward that shared goal. Fundraising is core to the purpose of the ride, and we want participation to feel accessible and supported.
Each rider commits to a one-time $600 registration fee. This amount is non-refundable and will not exceed $600.
Think of this as your contribution toward shared ride expenses, including campgrounds during the ride (not the night before), groceries for breakfasts and lunches, evening snacks, water and camp beverages, and shared RV and support vehicle costs.
Unlike many charity rides that use donations to fund the event itself, all Pedal for Pride donations go directly to Affirmations. If registration fees exceed the actual shared ride expenses, any remaining funds will also be donated to Affirmations.
Fundraising can include individual outreach, social posting, team asks, and direct donation page sharing. Riders are expected to engage consistently and communicate if they need support with strategy. If you are concerned about fundraising, please note that in your registration notes and we can talk through what works.
By checking this box, I acknowledge the team's collective $15,000 fundraising goal and the $600 one-time logistics registration fee.
