Community
Ride side by side with people committed to care, inclusion, and practical support across Michigan.
Pedal for Pride is a five-day community ride across Michigan. We roll out of Traverse City and finish together at Affirmations LGBTQ+ Community Center in Ferndale to celebrate visibility, solidarity, and collective care.
Mission: raise funds and awareness for Affirmations and support life-affirming programs that help LGBTQ+ people feel safe, seen, and connected.
Ride side by side with people committed to care, inclusion, and practical support across Michigan.
Show up as a visible LGBTQ+ and ally presence in rural, lakeshore, and suburban communities.
Fund programs that connect people to mental health care, resources, and affirming services.
Build momentum through shared effort and finish in Ferndale with joy, pride, and collective impact.
Affirmations centers a welcoming environment where LGBTQ+ people of all identities and ages can gather, access support, and experience belonging.
Through community programs, outreach, and advocacy, Affirmations helps remove barriers and strengthen equity across Southeast Michigan.
Services support basic needs, mental health, peer groups, and practical guidance so people can thrive as their full selves.
This ride carries that spirit forward by turning miles into resources, visibility, and direct community impact.
$600
Each rider commits to a one-time $600 registration fee. This amount is non-refundable and will not exceed $600.
All Pedal for Pride donations go directly to Affirmations. If registration fees exceed actual shared ride expenses, the remainder will also be donated to Affirmations.
Fundraising Goal
Our team is working toward a collective fundraising goal of $15,000 in support of Affirmations. Participants are expected to fundraise toward that shared goal together.
If fundraising feels like a stretch, include that in your registration notes and we can work through a plan that feels realistic, supported, and sustainable.
Riders are expected to train consistently and arrive prepared for multi-day endurance riding.
Riders commit to completing the ride to the best of their ability, barring unforeseen circumstances.
